Stationery & journaling has been a thing in Asia for forever, but interest has exploded in the West over the past few years
All of these are US-based stationery
conventions started in the last year!
Outside of conventions and meetups, this community connects mostly over Instagram.
I’m very grateful for this!
But there are also problems with this for our community.
Problems with Instagram:
📱 Inspiration you never revisit
📱 TOO MUCH CONTENT, feel behind
📱 Feeling inadequate
📱 Need a “following” to be seen
📱 On your phone when you wanna
be in your journal
Seeing these problems, I thought to myself:
I should make an
Instagram alternative
for journalers
and by that I meant
A paper magazine
for stationery lovers
A paper magazine could solve all these problems!
Must an Instagram competitor be digital?
